Each school holidays, we explore different techniques and themes to ensure that young actors are always engaging in a new level of skill and exercising their ability in a variety of creative ways. Whether it's constructing characters or working on audition techniques, our young actors will develop their voices, movement skills, improvisation skills, team work and generally improve their overall confidence in front of their peers as well as the camera.

Ages 8-11 | 10.00am - 4.00pm daily
IMAGINATE: Challenge yourself to create interesting and dramatic characters that go on amazing adventures. This workshop will encourage young actors to find themselves creatively in a fun and educational setting. They will work closely with Jack over three days to create character, setting, scenario and scene. Working with each other they will begin to understand the importance of collaboration in a drama setting and will shape their own scenes for performance. This workshop will expose them to the importance of physicality and voice and will instil them with the confidence to continue honing their craft.

STAGE + SCREEN BOOTCAMP: Explore improvisation, script work, characterisation and screen performance.
An intensive drama workshop that enables young actors to develop and grow as confident performers. Actors will spend three days working closely with Jack, gaining insight into the world of stage and screen. They will work in pairs and groups to construct their own scenes for performance, using improvisation, script work and character construction.

Jack Ellis is a South-Australian born actor who will feature in Season 5 of the Logie award-winning 'A Place to Call Home' alongside Marta Dusseldorp and Noni Hazlehurst. He was also the lead actor in the Off Broadway play 'Wolf in The River' in NYC which was written and directed by Pulitzer-nominated writer, Adam Rapp.
Jack has featured in music videos as well as various online sketches. He has worked as an actor, artist, festival promoter, talk show host, high school and primary school teacher, drama coordinator, visual arts teacher and Italian teacher.
A creative leader, educator and actor with a Bachelor of Education/Arts and a Bachelor of Acting (NIDA), Jack is committed to assisting all people - specifically young actors - find and celebrate their individualities through exciting and engaging performance practice.
